Donald Casadonte is an associate attorney at Collins Gann McCloskey & Barry PLLC, concentrating his practice in the area of criminal defense. Don, who will be working on both state and federal criminal cases, will also be working in the area of dietary supplement regulation and steroid law as well as personal injury cases.
Prior to joining Collins Gann McCloskey & Barry, Don spent more than three years as a Nassau County Assistant District Attorney, where he concentrated his practice in domestic violence and sex crime cases. An experienced litigator, he has tried multiple jury and bench trials from jury selection to verdict. Before joining the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office as an assistant DA, he served as a legal intern at both the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and Nassau County District Attorney’s office, where he observed various stages of the criminal trial process in the Supreme Courts of Suffolk County/Nassau County and conducted legal research on a variety of topics. He also served as a legal intern at the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County and the Melville law firm of Suris & Associates, P.C.
Don received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo, and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in March of 2019, and is a member of the American Bar Association.
